Delta Airlines opens HCMC – Tokyo flight

Delta Airlines, the world’s largest carrier, on June 2 announced the inauguration of its new daily nonstop service between Ho Chi Minh City and Tokyo.

The new flight offers passengers easy connections to and from 10 US gateways, including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Detroit, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco and Honolulu.

The airline will also add flights from Tokyo to Salt Lake City, Utah on June 3 and to New York City on June 4, which offers more connections in the US, Delta said.

The flight will be operated by Northwest Airlines using a 160-seat Boeing 757-200 aircraft with 16 seats in business class and 144 seats in economy.

The daily flight will depart Tokyo at 6:45 p.m. and arrive in HCMC at 11:10 p.m., while the return flight will leave HCMC at 6:10 a.m. on the following day and arrive at Narita Airport at 2:05 p.m. All times are local.

WestJet launches service to San Diego and San Francisco

WestJet has launched new seasonal non-stop service from Calgary to its two newest U.S. destinations this week. Service to San Diego began on Monday, with service to San Francisco launching on Tuesday, June 2.

“San Diego and San Francisco are beautiful places to visit and we’re very pleased to be back giving our guests non-stop seasonal service to these fabulous destinations,” said Bob Cummings, WestJet Executive Vice-President of Guest Experience and Marketing. “They also represent the latest steps in the expansion of our 55-city network and the ongoing focus on our strategic goals and objectives as an airline.”
