Australian carrier Regional Express (REX) says services (operated by Air Link) from Dubbo to Bourke, Cobar, Coonamble, Lightning Ridge, and Walgett as well as Mudgee to Sydney will finish on December 20. REX managing director Jim Davis blamed fuel prices, increasing regulatory requirements and the shortage of pilots for the route closures.
